Collette Puleo, Medical Advocate, and Marcus Puleo, SAFEPLAN Advocate for the Greater Brockton Health Imperatives organization, recently provided a very successful presentation on the prevention of Domestic Violence. They reviewed how to recognize the signs of domestic violence as well as its prevalence and statistics.
Health Imperatives is a non-profit community based agency that provides vital health and human services to nearly 30,000 families and individuals each year from communities stretching from Quincy to Nantucket. Their Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) programs offer comprehensive services and supports to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence; they also work to ensure the safety of all individuals. In appreciation of their time, our Evening Practical Nurse students collected items as a class to donate to the shelter.
