I first toured Southeastern Regional High School with my daughter when she was considering attending here. I kept thinking that I should have come here for high school years ago.” A few months later, Susan was driving by and saw the sign for Adult Education Open House and decided to check it out. As her children were getting older, she was ready to focus on her career. Although she had worked part-time for the last several years in administration for a dental office, she wanted something more hands-on and people oriented. “STI was the best tuition and accelerated program to get me out into the workforce in less than a year.”
Her biggest motivator(s) are her husband and children who wanted her to succeed and fulfill her goals. What she likes most about STI are the classes that are “so interesting and informative.” In the next few years, Susan anticipates working in a medical office and possibly pursuing other certificates in the medical field. Susan’s advice to others who might be considering STI is not to wait if you are interested in a new career. Start taking classes as soon as possible and don’t stay in a job that you don’t enjoy.
