What will STI classes look like in Fall 2020?

At STI our goal is to resume as many on-campus classes as is possible while still maintaining a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.  At the very heart of STI’s success is the hands-on nature of our programs.  Students are able to excel in shop, lab, and clinical externships where they are able to apply the information gained through lectures and classroom work.  The school closures of this past spring challenged us to adjust schedules and to move classes online where appropriate.  I am proud to say that this was accomplished effectively with as little impact on students as possible.

We have formed a steering committee to plan for the September return.  Utilizing federal, state and DESE guidance as a baseline the committee will begin to develop a plan to allow for the safe and efficient start of classes.  In addition to establishing safety protocols (the use of masks, social distancing measures, etc.) this plan will most likely be a hybrid of on-campus and online learning.  Emphasis will be placed on having students on campus for hands-on skills and participating in distance education for topics that lend themselves to that modality.

I will be sharing information about September as soon as possible.  Be assured that we will return to a 100% on-campus learning system as soon as we are able.  We continue to accept applications, test, and enroll students for programs beginning September 2020 and January 2021. Admissions, Financial Aid, and administrative personnel are available, via email and telephone Monday through Thursday.  Please reach out with additional questions or concerns.  We like to hear from you! 508-230-1297 or stiadmissions@stitech.edu or click here to apply online.
