Thank you to the 11 organizations who participated in our practical nurse job fair which took place in the beautiful new SPAC, Southeastern Performing Arts Center. Many students completed applications & discussed potential job opportunities with Atrius Healthcare, LifeCare WB, Baypointe, Orchard Cove (Newbridge on the Charles), Veterans Administration, Signature Healthcare, Maxim Healthcare, Rachel Low, Wellpath, South Shore Medical Center, Brigham & Women’s & Bayada Home Health Care.
A special shout out to STI alumni Margareth Lalanne ‘2019, Lindsay MacDonald ‘ 2021, and Matt Mason ‘2013 who shared their experiences in nursing & offered professional advice and tips for the soon-to-be graduates. Matt is currently working in acute care. He has his BSN and plans to attend Regis College in September 2022 for Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Praxtitioner Program. Margareth is an LPN working as a Unit Manager in long term care. She is currently taking prerequisite courses at Massasoit for associates degree. Lindsay MacDonald is currently working as an LPN for a pediatric clinic and looking to pursue her ADN at Massasoit. They shared wonderful ideas for success, being professional and knowing your limits when applying for a job. Matt’s advice “you won’t know it all, nor are you expected to, just know when to ask questions.”
