All of the students in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Program at Southeastern Technical Institute recently achieved their R-410A certifications. Certifications are awarded to students upon successful completion of the AC&R Safety Coalition Exam demonstrating the knowledge to safely service systems containing R-410A and R- 407C, the R-22 phase-out, appropriate refrigerant and oil applications, service techniques, and safe handling of R- 410A.
Along with this certification, students also have the opportunity to obtain Section 608 EPA Certification, OSHA 10 certification and earn 150 hours towards their Sheet Metal Apprenticeship during the program. After completion of this course, the graduate will have partially fulfilled the necessary requirements for the Massachusetts State Oil Burners Licensure Apprenticeship as well as the Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician Licensure Apprenticeship.
