The Dental Assisting students have been learning to take alginate impressions since the fall. Here, the students are taking alginate impressions on each other during lab. The students then poured these impressions in dental plaster and trimmed them to become study models. These study models can be used to present a case to a patient, construct tooth whitening trays, custom mouth guards, and much more. This is just one of the many procedures that the students have been working on perfecting this semester to prepare for clinical externship.
