Practical Nurse Students Learn About Opioid Abuse in the Brockton Area
On June 1st, Hillary Dubois, MS, Director of Prevention Services, High Point Treatment Center, presented to the adult Practical Nurse students at Southeastern Technical Institute in South Easton. Ms. Dubois’ presentation discussed the types of drugs and popular uses in the area, resources available, and treatment. She also explained Naloxone (Narcan) and it’s ability to reverse an opioid overdose until further medical attention is available. The students participated in a question and answer session, and benefited greatly from Ms. Dubois information.
