Southeastern Technical Institute enrolled its first class of Culinary Arts students during the 2014—2015 school year. Since then, students have gained valuable training and skills, including externships and jobs at places like Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse in Foxboro, Kate’s Table Catering & Events in Hingham, Montilio’s Bakery in Brockton, Stoneforge Tavern in Raynham, South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Lavishly Dunn Catering & Event Planning in Hanover, and The Cake Diner in Raynham.
Graduates are gainfully employed at full service restaurants, local caterers and operating their own businesses. Culinary Arts graduate from the Class of 2015, Alberto Barros of Brockton, speaks highly of the program, “Since graduation, I’ve worked beside students that went to a four year college and paid substantially more than I did and I wasn’t lacking in anything. It was definitely a great investment in my future.”
