Explore your passion for Culinary Arts at Southeastern Technical Institute! STI has been educating students since 1968. Culinary Arts is taught in our state of the art kitchen with experienced chefs. As a cook-in-training, you will learn the ins-and-outs of the restaurant and food industry. Our staff of respected chefs put their dedication and life experiences into classes where masterful techniques in baking, preparing and serving cuisines from around the world are taught in the Culinary Arts Program. You will have the opportunity to run a successful kitchen and restaurant. Upon graduation, you’ll be ready to succeed in the fast-paced food service industry!
The Culinary Arts Program at Southeastern Technical Institute is a rigorous 800 hour program that prepares learners to meet the challenges of the culinary industry. All students of the Culinary Arts
Program will have the opportunity to become: Serve-Safe Certified, TIPS Alcohol Awareness Certified, Food Allergen Certified, Crowd Manager Certified, and receive their OSHA 10 card. Enrollment is limited to 15 students, in order to meet program rigor and outcomes applicants must apply for selective admission into the Southeastern Technical Institute Culinary Arts Program.
Evening Program Schedule:
36 weeks long
4 nights per week, 6 hours per night
Starts every Fall and Spring semester
Monday – Thursday, from 4:00 – 10:00 p.m.
Students will participate in a 200 hour externship as part of the program.
