
Mrs. Miller graduated from the Boston University School of Nursing with high honors. She has been actively involved in nursing for over 40 years. She has extensive experience in all aspects of nursing from medical-surgical to psychiatric nursing. Over the last two decades she has concentrated on blending psychiatric community nursing with medical visiting nursing. She was an important part of implementing the movement of patients from the hospital setting into mainstream society where patients have the ability to be an interactive part of the community. She is a member of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill and is a former member of The Advisory Board for Taunton State Hospital. Mrs. Miller is a member of the Bristol-Norfolk Area Planning Group where she collaborates with other interdisciplinary professionals to assure the community safety and rapid response to catastrophic emergencies. Mrs. Miller has been a Practical Nursing Instructor with STI for more than 15 years. In this capacity she has educated STI students in the many facets of nursing, enabling them to become needed and knowledgeable participants the nursing profession.
