New Space = Better Learning Environment

New Space = Better Learning Environment

August 23rd marked the return of the STI Electricity Program to their newly constructed shop space.  The program is moving into the High School’s Electricity Shop in an expanded second floor space. The move has allowed us to increase the next cohort to 16 students as well as to provide a better learning environment for the returning students.

The STI HVAC Program has moved to the sustainability building vacated by the Electricity Program.  This space is being renovated to include new booths for students and the purchase of new equipment through the recent $380,000 Capital Skills Grant awarded to the district.  The move will be beneficial to both the high school and STI programs allowing for more space for each program while still sharing resources when required.

STI’s 10 month Electricity Program begins in January 2022 and we anticipate it being full soon with a waitlist;  we encourage those interested to pursue early admission for January 2023. We are accepting applications for the January 2022 HVAC Program and recommend applying early as spots will fill well before the start date in this program as well.
