Tip of the Week: Change!
When was the last time you changed? With a little extra time at home, it’s a great opportunity to change the filter(s) in your heating and air conditioning systems. We all want to make sure we are breathing clean air in our homes, not to mention clogged filters can cause serious damage to your systems. Another place for change? Change the batteries! Replacing the batteries in your thermostat at least once a year to ensure the thermostat works properly.
This tip of the week is brought to you by the faculty and students in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Program. The program begins every spring semester and runs for nine months, four nights per week, with the summer off. During the program, students can obtain Section 608 EPA Certification, R410 Safety Certification and earn 150 hours towards their Sheet Metal Apprenticeship. Graduates will have partially fulfilled the necessary requirements for the Massachusetts State Oil Burners Licensure Apprenticeship as well as the Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician Licensure Apprenticeship.
