Chef Peterson and Rhonda Jermyn recently represented STI at the Pathways to Your Future event at Easton Middle School. Its purpose was to provide information to students about careers and to help them connect education to future careers.
We had the opportunity to speak to several hundred sixth, seventh, and eighth graders about our school and post secondary program options. Each organization prepared an interactive activity to help the students understand the relationship between education and career choices. STI was no doubt the most popular table as Chef Peterson had students perfecting their culinary skills by icing and decorating sugar cookies!
This was an invaluable event for middle school students as it encouraged them to think about their future and the various possibilities and opportunities they can explore.
