On December 19th, STI’s Medical Assisting students visited two museums. Their first stop was at the Paul S. Russell Museum at Mass General Hospital. This museum chronicles the history and medical innovations of the last 200 years and includes displays of early surgical instruments and diagnostic testing as well as the MGH’s volunteer work around the globe.

Next the students visited the Hall of Human Life at the Museum of Science. This display is interactive and allows the students to participate in various activities related to all aspects of health. Then students compared their results with all museum visitors who participated in the same activities. Both museums enabled students to further understand the healthcare field.
