Another Successful High School Guidance Breakfast “On the Books”

On November 14th, the STI Admissions team hosted Guidance Counselors and Directors from Abington, Bridgewater-Raynham, Brockton, Mansfield, Norwood, Southeastern Regional, Stoughton, West Bridgewater and Whitman-Hanson. The morning began with a continental breakfast in our sun filled Colonial Room. STI Directors were each introduced and discussed the details of their program which included skills acquired, curriculum, licensing and certification, externships, and job outlook. After a tour of the labs and facilities, guests watched a brief presentation which highlighted the admissions and application process, academic policies, costs, financial aid, and career preparation. This was followed by a great question and answer exchange to close out the morning agenda.

These information sessions provide an invaluable experience for those who assist students with post-secondary planning. Many students are unaware that STI can be an option for them if they choose not to pursue a 2- or 4-year degree. Depending on their interests and motivation, recent graduates can get the training and experience they need to jump start their career!
